WHAT IS
Assisted-Stretching?
In its most basic form, assisted-stretching is when you have a partner guide you into a variety of stretches. Assisted-stretching is often described as a middle ground between physical therapy and a massage. It’s not quite as labor-intensive or as painful as going through physical therapy, and it's not quite as relaxing as a massage because your muscles are being activated throughout the session. However, the effects of assisted-stretching are long-lasting, meaning you’ll notice a difference in how you move and feel for even a few days following your session!
Assisted-stretching uses a technique known as proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF). This is a combination of static and pre-contraction stretches, which work to reprogram the pain signals your muscles would typically send to your brain. This technique is what allows you to get comfortably into a deeper stretch to help increase range of motion and feel tension released immediately!
Who is Assisted-Stretching for?

If you spend your day sitting or hunched over a computer desk at work,
the muscles in your neck, shoulders, hips, and quads can all be shortened. It is especially important for these muscles to be stretched to prevent muscular imbalances.

If you work in a labor-intensive industry,
you use your entire body all day and perhaps find yourself in a variety of unnatural positions. Full-body stretching is essential to help loosen up all the overactive muscles and prevent injuries.

If you want to recover well and perform better.
The better you are able to recover, the better you are able to perform!

If you want to relax and loosen up sore, overactive muscles.
No matter where you hold tension in your body, regular stretching can help relax your muscles and reduce stress and tension.

If you want to improve your quality of life.
When you move better, you feel better! When you feel better, your quality of life improves.
